Public Notice Implementation of HOTMA

Public Hearing on Implementation of HOTMA Changes for Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Plan and the Housing Choice Voucher Administration Plan.

                                   PUBLIC NOTICE

Public Notice is hereby given that the Housing Authority of The City of New Smyrna Beach (HANSB) will hold a Public Hearing regarding the Implementation of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA) changes to the Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Plan (ACOP) and the Housing Choice Voucher Administration Plan (Admin Plan).

The Public Hearing will be held Friday, October 18th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Manor located at 911 Oleander St., New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.

A draft copy of the ACOP and Admin Plans are now available for review and public inspection and can also be obtained on the NSBHA's website at www.newsmyrnahousing.com., at the HANSB's Central Office.

Public Housing residents, Resident Advisory Board, and the general public are encouraged to attend the public meeting and may submit suggestions, recommendations, and comments regarding the implementation of the proposed changes to the ACOP and Admin Plan via email at tlpope@newsmyrnahousing.com or by regular U.S. mail to Housing Authority of the City of New Smyrna Beach, 1101 S. Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168 Attn: Teresa Pope.

Public comments on the implementation of the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 ("HOTMA") changes to the ACOP and Admin Plan must be received on or before 8:00 a.m. October 18th, 2024 at the above address.
